DUCK KEY, Fla. – Tom Thumb Food Stores has donated $15,000 each to two local charitable organizations, Samuel's House and Lotus House, thanks to funds raised during the company’s second Tom Thumb Mahi Mayhem Fishing Tournament.

"This will greatly help with our increase of women and children this past year who are victims of domestic violence,” said Elmira Leto of Samuel's House.

"Lotus House wishes to extend our most heartfelt gratitude for the Tom Thumb Food Stores donation. With your help, the Lotus House has served over 2,200 women, youth and children since its establishment,” said Maria Carvalho of Lotus House.

Jim and Tom McCarthy, owners of Tom Thumb Food Stores, noted that they are excited to work with their local South Florida communities to support organizations such as Samuel's House and Lotus House. “We are also grateful to the many vendors who support and help to grow the Tom Thumb Mahi Mayhem event into a fantastic experience that truly benefits everyone involved,” they said.
