Reynolds to Raise Prices on All Cigarettes

Distributors' list prices will climb by up to 33 cents per pack, effective tomorrow.

NEW YORK - Less than a week after Altria Group raised its cigarette prices by 8 cents per pack, Reynolds America Inc. said that it plans to raise prices on all of its cigarette brands, Bloomberg reports.

Reynolds?? R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. division notified wholesalers last week that it will charge 8 cents more a pack for Camel, Pall Mall, and several other brands, corporate spokesperson David Howard said. Accordingly, distributors?? list prices for Carlton, Lucky Strike and other brands will climb by 33 cents a pack, he said.

The increases take effect tomorrow, just two days after Altria??s price increases took effect. Collectively, the increases affect more than 20 brands and varieties.
