Week in Review
A dispute over ethanol incentives played a role in a failed Senate cloture vote on Wednesday, May 4. Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), added an amendment to a small business bill that would repeal ethanol tax breaks. It doomed a procedural vote to end debate on the bill. Another bipartisan duo, Republican Charles E. Grassley (R-IA) and Kent Conrad of (D-ND), also unveiled legislation on Wednesday that reduces but extends ethanol tax breaks.

NACS Chairman Jeff Miller, testified in front of the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee€™s Subcommittee on Energy and Power on Thursday, May 5. Miller represented NACS on issues surrounding the challenges and opportunities for alternative transportation fuels and vehicles.
