DESOTO, Texas – Questar Fueling Company, subsidiary of Questar Corporation, is building a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in DeSoto, Texas. The public-access station will provide fast-fill CNG fueling for fleet operators with medium and heavy duty trucks, as well as motorists who drive light duty natural gas vehicles. The station will open in July.

"This is our third Texas CNG station and we plan to announce a fourth in a few weeks," said Carl Galbraith, Questar Fueling general manager, in a press release. "Our new station will be located near national trucking companies currently running on clean-burning natural gas, like Dart Transit and Swift Transportation. When our stations go in, we also start hearing from other fleet operators who are looking to make the move to CNG. Our business is to make that transition as easy as possible."

Last year, Questar Fueling built a CNG station for Central Freight Lines and Swift in Houston that features five high-speed fueling lanes and 120 time-fill spaces for parked trucks. Earlier this year, Questar Fueling announced construction of a station in San Antonio that will offer both high-speed and time-fill fueling later this summer.

The DeSoto CNG station will feature four high-speed fueling lanes for class-8 trucks and passenger vehicles and will be expandable to meet future growth.
