Sprite Brings Back Tropical Flavor

For the first time in a decade, the fan favorite hits store shelves for a limited time.

ATLANTA – Consumers are about to enjoy a tropical blast from the past. The tropical Sprite flavor introduced more than a decade ago made its return last week with a new name: Sprite Tropical Mix.

“Fans have thirsted for the return of this popular Sprite tropical flavor for years, and it’s great to finally bring it back to reward their enthusiasm. I can’t think of a better way to let them know that we’re listening,” said Kimberly Paige, vice president, Sparkling Brands, Sprite and Flavors, Coca-Cola North America.

Sprite Tropical Mix combines the familiar Sprite lemon-lime taste with strawberry and pineapple flavors. The flavor combination is available now for a limited time in a retro-inspired orange-on-white package design.

The new soft drink joins a number of other product variations Sprite has introduced in recent years to offer consumers new flavor mixes, such as the holiday-favorite Sprite Cranberry, which was first introduced in 2013, and Sprite LeBron’s Mix, which was available in 2014 and 2015.

Sprite Tropical Mix will be available in 20-ounce PET bottles and sold in convenience, value and other retail stores nationwide through August, or while supplies last.
