ALEXANDRIA, VA, and OAK BROOK, IL – NACS and CSP Business Media LLC (CSP) announced that they have renewed their long-term agreement for the annual NACS State of the Industry Summit.

The announcement was made at the conclusion of the 2012 NACS State of the Industry Summit, which took place April 9 to 11 in Chicago.

Under terms of the five-year agreement, NACS will produce the State of the Industry Summit, the $700 billion-plus industry’s premier benchmarking and analytics conference, and CSP will serve as exclusive media partner. As part of the agreement, CSP will publish a special edition of CSP magazine that will include general event coverage, as well as firm-level sales, profitability, category and expense benchmarking data derived from NACS’ annual survey of operational and financial performance.

“For more than a decade, the NACS State of the Industry Summit has been the premier data-driven event of our industry and we are delighted to continue our partnership with CSP in disseminating its content and growing the event,” said NACS President and CEO Henry Armour.

“Our agreement is a great win for the convenience and petroleum retailing industry. It’s a great win for the big chains, independent operators and the countless suppliers, wholesalers and brokers who rely on the most dynamic, compelling information that only NACS and CSP can deliver,” said CSP Business Media President and CEO Michael Wood.

The NACS State of the Industry Summit is considered the convenience and fuel retailing industry’s leading data-focused event, bringing together retailers and suppliers to review and interpret the industry’s key economic indicators, benchmark their operations against other top performers and dig deep into broader economic, demographic and marketplace trends that affect the industry. The data presented at the State of the Summit is based on data collected from more than 200 U.S. convenience retail firms, representing approximately 26,000 stores.

NACS Magazine also will report on top-line industry performance, shopper insights, non-CPG trends and general event coverage after the Summit. In addition, NACS will continue to produce and distribute its annual NACS State of the Industry Report, which will be released in June.
