TOPEKA, KS - The Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association of Kansas (PMCA of Kansas) announced earlier this week the launch of online training for Class C operators.

In partnership with its subsidiary, Tank Management Services Inc., and Williams & Company Consulting, PMCA of Kansas has developed training programs that assist underground storage tank owners in complying with the Energy Policy Act of 2005 for Operator Training. Previously, it has certified more than 1,500 UST operators for Class A and B training, and its program is approved in Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico and Louisiana. It is currently developing courses for other states.

The online Class C program will enable Class A/B personnel to train Class C personnel and will provide emergency response and tank system information. It will track certified employees by facility and date, and employers will retain administrative tools, including the ability to maintain updated employee rosters, the option to distribute classes to new employees, and the ability to review contact details of those who have taken and passed the course.

The cost of the training program is $12.95 per person.
