HENDERSON, N.C. - Convenience retailer
Albemarle Oil Company (ALCO) announced earlier this week the launch of its new
branded smartphone app. The Verge Connect-powered platform is comprised of a
comprehensive set of customizable features including interest-based marketing
capabilities, social media, customer feedback management and backend analytics.
According to Alco, the app is priced "at
about half of other mobile apps," allowing it to quickly enter and compete in
the mobile space.
The
app allows consumers to customize deals and coupons, as well as filter by
services at all 23 Alco stores. It also features mapping and customer
interaction capabilities via social media and direct feedback
