Are You Prepared to Lead?

NACS Leadership Programs can make the difference in whether high-performers are ready to lead … or leave.

March 18, 2015

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – When asked what they value the most from the organizations they work for, high-performing employees almost always cite the same things, including access to training and development opportunities.

Because NACS wants to help its members train, retain and promote its high performers, we have  collaborated with three of the country’s premier graduate institutions to develop unique week-long courses available exclusively to NACS members in the areas of executive leadership, financial leadership and — new this year — marketing leadership.

NACS Financial Leadership Program at Wharton, May 17-22, 2015, Philadelphia
This intense and exclusive five-day program is designed for high-potential executives who have been challenged by their companies to expand their financial insights and, in turn, provide greater value to their organizations. Limited to 40 participants, the NACS Financial Leadership Program is ideally designed for CEOs of small chains, controllers in medium-sized chains and rising accounting and finance executives in larger chains. Generously endowed by American Express, the cost to attend this competitive five-day program is $3,995, less than half the cost of a typical Wharton open enrollment course.

NACS Marketing Leadership Program at Kellogg, July 26-31, 2015, Chicago
New this year, the NACS Marketing Leadership Program is being developed in partnership with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, the nation’s number one business school marketing MBA programs. At a time when marketing is an essential element to every aspect of successful business operations, this program will prepare marketing experts to meet the challenges of our unique industry. With a generous endowment from Altria, this program will be offered at a cost of $3,995, less than half the cost of a typical open enrollment course at Kellogg.

NACS Executive Leadership Program at Cornell, August 2-6, 2015, Ithaca, N.Y.
Now in its 13th year, this invaluable program assists senior executives in attaining the leadership skills needed to successfully respond to the challenges of a competitive marketplace. The program provides opportunities for executives at all levels — from operations managers and operations directors to c-suite leaders — to supplement experience with formalized instruction on skills needed to drive long-term organizational performance. Participants will learn from exceptional faculty, business leaders and a network of high-performance peers. Generously endowed by PepsiCo, the cost to attend this competitive five-day program is $3,995, which includes instruction, course materials, assessments, lodging, and scheduled meals and entertainment.
