Newly released primer seeks to help small business owners understand how the new regulations apply to their business.

March 17, 2011

WASHINGTON ?" The U.S. Department of Justice announced earlier this week the release of ADA Update: A Primer for Small Businesses, an illustrated guide to helping small businesses understand the new and updated requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Revised regulations for the ADA took effect earlier this week. The primer clarifies issues that have presented the most challenges to business owners over the past 20 years, and it explains new requirements, such as the 2010 Standards for Accessible Design.

The document seeks to provide guidance to small business owners so that they can understand how the new regulations apply to their business.
