Register Today for the NACS Introduction to Category Management Seminar

May 19 to 20 seminar will focus on implementing category management strategies.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Registration is now open for the NACS Introductory Category Management Seminar, "Turning Plans into Action." The seminar will take place May 19 to 20, in San Diego and will focus on implementing strategies of category management.

The seminar combines classroom learning, group breakouts, real-world examples and case studies ?" all the while providing ample networking opportunities. The program will be facilitated by the Impact 21 Group and include classroom sessions, group breakouts and case studies. It will center on a six-step process for implementing effective category management at the store level, as derived from the NACS Category Management Framework.

The six steps are:

  • Select categories and supplier partner
  • Analyze performance
  • Determine category roles
  • Develop the plan (strategies, tactics)
  • Communicate and implement the plan
  • Review and evaluate

This seminar is the only introductory class NACS is offering this year; the advanced seminar will be held September 8 to 9, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
