SALT LAKE CITY – Through generous donations from its customers, vendor partners and employees, Speedway LLC raised a remarkable $10.3 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2015. That’s $2.3 million more than in 2014 that will support children’s hospitals in the communities where Speedway stores are located.

“What a way to start our 25th year as a partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said Speedway President and NACS Vice Chairman Tony Kenney, in a press release. “This speaks to the commitment of our associates, customers and vendor partners and their dedication to making an impact on the health of kids in our communities.”

A corporate partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991, Speedway has raised more than $78 million for the charity through a variety of initiatives. Programs include canister and Miracle Balloon icon campaigns, bowl-a-thons and employee payroll contribution programs. On an annual basis, Speedway also hosts the largest single-day golf fundraising event for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which raised more than $2 million in 2015. Each of these activities contributes to Speedway’s support for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in their communities. Through the program, patients from locally supported hospitals are able to share their stories, which relay the importance of why children’s hospitals rely on donations to fund critical treatments and services.

“Year after year, we are in awe of Speedway’s commitment to supporting children’s hospitals in its communities,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. “It’s partners like this—that fully embrace our mission to care for sick and injured kids—that allow us to provide more valuable resources to our hospitals.”

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that treat more than 10 million kids each year. A donation made at a local Speedway directly supports the member hospital in that community.
