ALEXANDRIA, VA – Registration is under way and a few open spots remain for the premier development program for emerging leaders in the convenience and fuel retailing industry. The event takes place April 6 to 11, in Millwood, Virginia.

The NACS Leadership Challenge is designed to help district managers, area managers and supervisors from convenience retailers discover personal strengths that they can use to grow their career while creating a more profitable and performance-oriented environment within their company.

The program, facilitated by the Glen Douglas Group, features five days of intensive classroom instruction, six months of online support and coaching, and a one-day follow up program at the NACS Show in Las Vegas, during which Leadership Challenge participants will present their project at an educational session.

“What an incredible journey!  I am now sharing what I learned with my team, and I am starting to see a difference in them, said Michael Runte, a district manager from Indiana-based Ricker’s and a 2013 Leadership Challenge participant. “Complaints are down, turnover has leveled out, and internal promotions are on the rise. I see better teamwork as well- managers partnering and working more closely. All of these things would not have been possible without the NACS Leadership Challenge.”

Event details are available and registration is limited to convenience retailers only. Contact Jenn Smith at (703) 518-4295 for more information.
