NEW YORK - McDonald??s Down Under are undergoing changes, with several embracing its local nickname by renaming their locations to "Macca??s," while at least one upgrading its operations by offering table service, the New York Daily News reports.

A franchise in the suburb of Warilla outside of Sydney has recently been approved to offer plates, cutlery and table service for its customers, the brainchild of franchisees Glenn and Katia Dwarte. The pair received approval from McDonald??s corporate headquarters outside of Chicago and has begun promoting the new service with a local flyer campaign.

Accordingly, for the next five weeks on Mondays and Tuesdays, customers at the Warilla restaurant who order a Grand Angus, Big Mac or Chicken Deluxe meal can opt for restaurant-style service, with their meal served on plates and accompanied by cutlery.

It??s not the first time McDonald??s has ventured into full-service food. Last year, several locations in the U.K. offered "McWaiters" who provided table service for customers.
