SYRACUSE, N.Y. – For the second year in a row, Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes has partnered with The National Kidney Foundation of Central New York. The foundation is a nonprofit health organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease for thousands of patients and their families, those at risk in Central New York and the education of healthcare professionals.

Nice N Easy will make its customers aware of the National Kidney Foundation of CNY and its mission. One in three Americans is at risk to develop kidney disease due to diabetes, high blood pressure or a family history of kidney disease. Kidney disease is the 9th leading cause of death in the country. More than 26 million Americans have kidney disease and most don’t know it. There are more than 95,000 people awaiting kidney transplants, and more than 590,000 people have kidney failure in the United States today.

Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes has donated $10,000 to the National Kidney Foundation of CNY to raise awareness locally. During the months of February, March and April, Nice N Easy store employees proudly buttons that promote our partnership.

The chain is inviting customers to help by registering today for the upcoming Kidney Walk scheduled for April 27 at Destiny USA in Syracuse.
