NEW YORK – Burger King is testing a chicken and waffles sandwich at a Pittston, Penn., location, reports Nations Restaurant News.
The news source adds that the sandwich is a split waffle filled with the same chicken used in the QSR’s Original Chicken Sandwich.
Foodbeast reader Troy Smith tried the sandwich and told CNNMoney that the combo wasn’t his favorite. "Together, it just didn't work well," he said. "It was missing something — like the sweetness of the waffle was trying to take the place of the syrup."
For now, the chicken waffle seems to be testing only at the Pittston location.
