Kangaroo Express, BP Donate $30,000 to Fuel Local School Districts

The donation will be split evenly among three school districts, which will funnel the money to individual schools.

CARY, N.C. -- Kangaroo Express has teamed up with BP??s Fueling Communities program to donate a total of $30,000 to three school districts in communities in which they operate. Charleston County School District, Hamilton County Department of Education and Wake County Public School System will each receive $10,000, to be split between 10 schools, each receiving a $1,000 donation. Check presentations for these schools will take place during school events throughout February and March.

"This $10,000 donation will go a long way for schools in Wake County," said Anthony J. Tata, superintendent of the Wake County Public School System. "We are grateful to Kangaroo Express and BP for their donation to our great school system. I am personally eager to watch as this donation helps our schools fund projects that will better the educational environment for our students."

The schools receiving a donation in the Charleston County School District are Burke Middle/High School, Burns Elementary School, Drayton Hall Elementary School, E.B. Ellington Elementary School, Mt. Zion Elementary School, North Charleston Elementary School, Stono Park Elementary School, Sullivan??s Island Elementary School, Wando High School, West Ashley High School.

The schools receiving a donation in Hamilton County are Brainerd High School, Central High School, Center for Creative Arts, East Hamilton Middle/High School, East Ridge High School, Hixson High School, Lookout Middle/High School, Ooltewah High School, Red Bank High School and Soddy Daisy High School.

The schools receiving a donation in the Wake County Public School System are Apex High School, Green Hope High School, Jeffreys Grove Elementary School, Leesville High School, Millbrook Elementary School, Millbrook High School, Morrisville Elementary School, Panther Creek High School, and Swift Creek Elementary School.
