HONG KONG – Reuters reported last week that McDonald’s plans to open 150 new stores in China that will focus on customization.

The QSR’s "Create Your Taste" locations would allow customers to build their burgers from the ground up, Regina Hui, senior director of communications for McDonald's China, told Reuters.

Hui noted that the specialized locations have so far received “very positive feedback” from patrons. "They like the taste of the burgers, the digital experience and the table service," she said.

McDonald’s currently has 11 locations that offer the Create Your Taste burger customization in mainland China. Hui also told Reuters that the QSR has “very positive feedback” from local diners, who analysts say are increasingly focusing more on health and an abundance of dining options.
