ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Bill Nye and Ze Frank have been announced as speakers for NACStech, which will take place May 16 to 18, 2011, at the Mirage in Las Vegas, NV.

This marks the first time in its 17 years that NACStech, the premiere technology solutions event for the convenience and fuel retailing industry, will take place in Las Vegas. More than 1,200 attendees are expected for NACStech, which features two general sessions, 20 focused workshops and 100 exhibits. Registration is now open at nacstech.com.

NACStech Opening General Session speaker Ze Frank has been called an "Internet legend" by The Guardian and one of Forbes?? "top 25 Web celebrities." His online blog was named one of the 10 best video blogs of 2006 by Time magazine and his online "The Show" was called "the best sustained comedy run in the history of the Web" by Slate magazine. Frank will examine how technology and creativity intersect, especially in Web design, marketing and new forms of media. He will also discuss how to create contagious and viral media, how to leverage social media and how to think about creative development in general.

NACStech Closing General Session speaker Bill Nye is the host of three currently running television series: "The 100 Greatest Discoveries" airs on the Science Channel, "The Eyes of Nye" airs on PBS stations and "Stuff Happens" airs on Planet Green. Nye is perhaps best known for his acclaimed, long running program "Bill Nye the Science Guy," which earned 18 Emmys over a five-year period. He is currently executive director of The Planetary Society, the world??s largest space-interest organization. Nye has worked extensively to set up and promote the EarthDial Project, a set of sundials around the world visually reminiscent of the MarsDials, which provide the only message to the future that??s been carried on spacecraft since the Voyager missions launched over 30 years ago.

Previous NACStech general session speakers have included Sir Timothy Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web; Malcolm Gladwell, author of The Tipping Point and Blink; Frank Abagnale, author of the autobiography Catch Me If You Can; Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara, members of the MythBusters "Build Team"; B.J. Fogg, professor in the Persuasive Technology Lab at Stanford University; and Kevin Mitnick, often called "the world??s most famous former hacker."
