DENVER - Chipotle Mexican Grill announced earlier this week that beginning January 21, it would launch a catering service at its Colorado stores and expand the offering to all of its markets in the coming months.

"We are changing the way people think about and eat fast food by offering our customers better ingredients from more sustainable sources in a way that is affordable and accessible," said Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle. "With catering, we can now better serve our customers by allowing them to bring Chipotle into their homes, offices and schools where they can conveniently and effortlessly share the food that they love with large groups of people."

Chipotle??s catering menu offers a Taco and Burrito Bowl Spread that comes with two or three meats and sides, which include cilantro-lime rice, pinto and black beans, fresh salsas, house-made guacamole, cheese, and sour cream. There is also a chips and salsa menu for snacking.

Chipotle will offer a "Burritos by the Box" option, which allows customers to mix and match their choice of chicken, steak, carnitas, barbacoa or vegetarian burritos.

To promote its Colorado kickoff, Chipotle is offering customers who order for 20 or more guests on February 3 two free entrée items during a return visit.
