HONOLULU – On behalf of its customers, Aloha Petroleum, Ltd. recently donated $4,443 to the American Heart Association, Hawaii Division, to help the organization empower Hawaii residents to live healthier lives and educate the public on heart disease and stroke. The funds were raised through canister collection donations at participating Aloha Island Mart and Shell locations across the state.

“We frequently collaborate with the American Heart Association to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke, and we appreciate the generous donations from Aloha Petroleum’s customers,” said NACS Board Member Richard Parry, president and CEO of Aloha Petroleum Ltd. “Heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of death in Hawaii, and the American Heart Association is working hard every day to change that through community education programs, improvement of our health care system and cardiovascular research.”

“Aloha Petroleum is truly a hands on-company in Hawaii, and we value its involvement throughout the year,” added Lori Suan, executive director of the American Heart Association. “Not only have they provided this generous donation, but many Aloha Petroleum employees also participate in our annual Heart Walk and other efforts to increase awareness on heart disease.”
