McDonald’s Introduces Globe-Trotting Menu

But it’s only a treat for employees at the company’s Chicago headquarters.

The McDonald’s menu just got a bit more exotic for employees at the company’s Chicago headquarters.  The company has revamped the in-house food offerings to include some flavorful options from around the world, according to USA Today

The McDonalds location still offers its traditional quarter-pounder, but the headquarters version is topped with natural blue cheese. Employees can pair that with a serving of Hong Kong Wasabi fries, which includes an optional seasoning.

The Sausage McMuffin Tomato Salad combines a toasted English muffin with a sausage patty and then tops the patty with salad veggies. Customers also can try a new drink, the Baci McFlurry, which features soft-serve vanilla ice cream spiced with a Baci candy sauce of creamy chocolate and hazelnut bits.

The restaurant plans to serve a rotating menu of special items found at the chain’s locations in other countries. In the future, employees can look forward to cheese-and-bacon-loaded fries from Australia, a McSpicy chicken sandwich from Hong Kong and a McFlurry Prestigio from Brazil.

McDonald’s hopes to provide this same dining experience in all of its restaurants by the year 2020, but no rollout plans have been announced.
