NACS Leadership Programs

In a constantly changing world, industry leaders must have vision, strategic planning skills and a keen focus on delivering profits. Today's competitive market requires thoughtful leadership that is essential for growth and success. NACS offers several distinct leadership education programs to help guide and develop industry leaders:

NACS Executive Leadership Program at Cornell
The NACS Executive Leadership Program at Cornell is designed for mid- to senior-level retail management preparing to take on key leadership roles in retail companies. This program gives participants the leadership skills needed to successfully respond to the challenges of a competitive marketplace and provides opportunities to supplement experience with formalized instruction on skills needed to drive long-term organizational performance.

Attendees gain the opportunity to refine their leadership skills, prepare for the demands of key company roles, access 360-degree feedback assessments and individual coaching, engage in case studies, and hear from business and leadership experts on today’s workforce challenges. The program takes place on the prestigious Cornell University campus and is administered by faculty of the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, recently ranked No. 3 in Bloomberg BusinessWeek’s rankings of undergraduate business programs.

NACS Financial Leadership Program at Wharton
The NACS Financial Leadership Program at Wharton is an intense and exclusive five-day program designed for high-potential executives who have been challenged by their companies to expand their financial insights and, in turn, provide greater value to their organizations.

Case studies embedded in the program are customized using information from the NACS State of the Industry Report so that retail attendees will gain new skills through exercises that are relevant and applicable to their organization. Geared toward finance executives who are looking to take their department to the next level of sophistication and strategy, the program helps them achieve their goals by building a skill set that will go beyond the classroom and positively affect an organization’s bottom line. This course takes place on the campus of the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

NACS Marketing Leadership Program at Kellogg
Organizations focused on their brand and the customer experience consistently outperform their competition. In these organizations, everyone—regardless of position or function—knows what the brand and customer strategies mean for his or her job, and makes decisions consistent with this strategy. To help retail members exceed their own expectations, NACS offers the NACS Marketing Leadership Program at Kellogg.

Designed for senior-level executives in NACS retail member companies, the program will help retailers identify where their growth will come from, build their brands, optimize the customer experience and influence customer choices. This course takes place on the campus of Northwestern University and is administered by faculty in the Kellogg School of Management, ranked the 2017 Best Business School for marketing MBA programs by US News and World Report.
